Bon Iver
American indie folk band Bon Iver will make their Manchester Arena debut this week.
Tickets for the Friday 9 November show are on sale now, priced £25.00. Doors are due to open at 6.00pm and the show will end at approximately 10.30pm. Support comes from folk rock trio The Staves.
The Wisconsin based four-piece will be performing tracks from their latest collection, 2011's self-titled second album, alongside 2007's debut For Emma, Forever Ago and 2009's EP Blood Bank.
Founded in 2007 by singer-songwriter Justin Vernon, Bon Iver (derived from the French phrase bon hiver meaning 'good winter') recorded the debut album in a remote cabin in north-western Wisconsin. The resulting For Emma, Forever Ago went on to win widespread critical acclaim including 5/5 reviews in both Mojo and Uncut music magazines.
2011's follow-up, Bon Iver, was awarded Best Alternative Music Album at the Grammys and Album Of The Year by influential music website Pitchfork.com
