Get the lowdown on the Ultimate Fighting Championship with the M.E.N Arena's top five UFC facts:

1:  UFC, which returns to the UK for the first time in five years, is a mixed martial arts (MMA) organisation.

2: Fighters scheduled to appear include Russia's Andre Arlovski, Croatia's Mirko Cro Cop, US superstar Forrest Griffin and Britian's very own Michael Bisping.

3: Bisping (a.k.a The Count), who fights out of Liverpool, won last season's hugely successful reality TV show The Ultimate Fighter 3.

4: Ahead of the event, UFC President Dana White, said: "Manchester is the home of sporting legends so what better to launch Ultimate Fighting in the UK."

5: UFC is now officially America's fastest growing spectator sport.
